 FAQs

  • For security.

And I believe that having a paywall for my uncensored video content will provide me with this.

A prime example of how a paywall has already proven to provide me with more security is the example of my paid private Snapchat account (accessed via my ‘Patreon’).

Previously, I used to have free public Snapchat accounts that kept getting reported and deleted; but, since starting a paid private Snapchat account in 2020…I’ve never had an issue!

What reiterated the proficiency of having this paywall was when I decided to open up a free public Snapchat account again in June 2023 for a couple of days; just to give everyone a glimpse of what to expect on my paid Snapchat account…

It was deactivated in a matter of less than 10 minutes! So, in my experience, the proof is in the pudding.

You see, the fact that this work that is behind a paywall is not freely accessible to anyone and everyone helps to weed out a lot of the trolls. It helps to weed out the easily offended and those who report me for the sake of reporting me. In my personal experience, it seems that people are unlikely to report a service/content they are paying for…because, in this case, the consumer has something to lose…their own money! So, as a result of all of this, we have no disruptions due to not getting reported or being flagged for ‘inappropriate’ content that goes against community guidelines that are apparently there to ‘protect the public’.

So, with this logic, a paywall provides me with the security I need, desire and deserve to have in my work and business.

    Also, it’s a matter of self-worth.

    This a completely fair exchange.

Whilst I want to ensure that my video content is still super accessible and as affordable as possible to the masses, putting a value on it also ensures its safety and security…and its future! On principle, it’s also a very reasonable and fair exchange given that this is my job and livelihood. So, as with most products and/or services you consume, it is completely normal and acceptable (and even expected!) that you pay. This is not revolutionary, this is standard. It is an exchange after all. In the end, this is my time, resources, money and energy that is going into these productions. I mean, how many of us are working for free…? Exactly. Like anyone working, and as a naturist content creator, I too deserve to get paid for my work.

  • To many people’s surprise…no. I cannot post on Vimeo for free.

It already costs me to be on Vimeo just to upload my private content for Patrons.

I’ve also previously had issues with bandwidth usage…multiple times! Hence why I had to stop posting, and even delete, all of my content on my free public Vimeo channel. You see, my public Vimeo channel acted as a backup for my former YouTube channel. But, that never really went according to plan anyhow because Vimeo have what they call a ‘Bandwidth Usage Policy’.

Back in 2021, when I had under 10,000 subscribers on my public Vimeo channel and no more than 70,000 views on any given video, I was already exceeding bandwidth usage and was apparently in the top 1% of bandwidth consuming accounts!!!

To protect my private content which I upload for my Patrons (which is my livelihood), I had to delete all of my public content in order to reduce my bandwidth usage and avoid HUGE fees for the amount of bandwidth I would have needed to accommodate the bandwidth I was already using.

If I was already looking at a custom plan of USD$7500 per year back in 2021 with those Vimeo stats; and I had 280,000 subscribers on YouTube and an average of over 1 million views per video…

Can you imagine what kind of bandwidth usage I would be looking at if I were to redirect all of those YouTube viewers to my Vimeo channel???

So as you can see, no, I cannot just post on Vimeo for free.

  • Whilst I feel that these alternative platforms are a great place to share information, I feel that the termination of my YouTube channel held in it a personal lesson for me…and that was to solidify my boundaries and embody a deeper sense of self-worth when it comes to my work.

I still share uncensored content for free in my newsletter and on my website, so having a low-cost paywall for my video content is not a move to commodify or exclusivise my nudity. This is a move that reflects a fair exchange…a move that sees me getting paid as a content creator, and rightly so. So whilst Rumble would be a great option for those who want to enjoy the fruits of my labour for free and/or for those who are not interested in, or care for, a fair and mutually beneficial exchange that sees me getting paid as a creator, it does not feel in integrity for me. Because what I am no longer willing to do is undermine myself, the value of my work and what goes into it by continuing to provide free content for those who could financially support my work but choose not to.

Also, given that I almost solely make my money from people choosing to pay for my content, I rely heavily on traffic and exposure. So, given that Rumble have reported 78 million monthly active users per month versus Vimeo’s 170 million and YouTube’s 2.7 billion…it makes sense for me to continue to build a presence on Vimeo and YouTube. And, with regard to exposure and getting the message out there, I still feel that having a presence on YouTube, albeit a much more censored and minimal presence, is still the more feasible option.

  • I’m not willing to run the risk of having my account locked or deactivated.

I have previously run into issues and had my account locked on Twitter due to posting uncensored content; so I’m not willing to take the risk (I’ve already had a few of my major social media accounts deactivated over the years (‘Facebook’ and ‘YouTube’), so let’s not add another one to the mix if we can help it).

  • Not only will it be different, but it will be SO MUCH BETTER!

    • Subscribers will gain access to the FULL LENGTH versions of all videos that were previously released on my former YouTube channel (all 35 of them!) and all upcoming ones too. Simply, viewers will be getting far more content than what was previously available on my former YouTube channel. Whereas I used to upload the ‘shorter’ or more condensed versions to YouTube, given my Vimeo channel will be a paid subscription service, just like my Patreon, it, too, will host the full length and extended versions.

    • The interface of my Vimeo channel will be much more visually exciting…much prettier!

    • It will also be more user-friendly in that it will be easier to navigate as video content will be organised into categories, playlists, regions, countries etc…making it easier to find what it is you might be searching for.

    • Vimeo is known for its superior streaming quality - people have run plenty of tests that suggest that Vimeo often delivers a sharper, clearer video than that on YouTube.

    • Given that there is a paywall in place to access my uncensored content, I will no longer be at the mercy of the irrational community guidelines that consistently caused disruptions on the back end for me…and, ultimately, my community. Given that my content will no longer be so publicly available, I don’t need to worry so much about being reported or flagged - which means more continuously seamless access for all of you.

    • A paywall should also help to weed out trolls and the censorship police, which means no more being reported…which, again, means less disruptions for all of you!

    • It will be a much fairer exchange in that it is a mutually beneficial exchange - unlike my YouTube channel that was free of charge, and on which I never made a cent, given my Vimeo channel will be a paid subscription service, this tangible kind of support will help to contribute to TNB’s financial feasibility…so it truly makes a difference. Your support on my Vimeo channel will be a contributing factor in seeing me continue to explore various naturist destinations all over the world and share about the naturist lifestyle with you all.

  • My Patreon is a multi-tiered subscription platform where I offer MULTIPLE services at different price points. On Patreon, people have more choices and options as to what service/s they would like access to.

My Vimeo channel, on the other hand, is solely for my naturist vlogs…and that’s it. It is one-dimensional in that aspect.
